Stanza 6 Analysis

In this final stanza, the cloud tells us about its own birth. It passes through the ocean and earth, changing form but never dying. The cloud has ultimate control over all of life. It symbolizes the essence of life. It goes through many changes, liquid, gas, solid. It is hidden from our view, but it is always there. It brings life-giving rain, and destroys with violent storms. It shades us from heat, yet decides when the sun will bear down upon us. It controls the seasons.
The cloud is gentle as a child and terrifying as a ghost.
