From the cloud comes snow. This soft, white pillow carries enough weight to topple the mighty pines. Lightening illuminates the cloud's path over both water and land before it dissolves itself in tears of rain. Lightening follows the cloud, attracted by the "genii" within. These spirits refer to the scientific explanation of charged particles in clouds causing lightening.
This stanza references more of the destruction nature of the cloud.
