Stanza 5 Analysis

The cloud tells us how it restricts both the sun's and moon's light. It narrows the sunlight down to a bright circle and produces a crown of pearls around the moon. Even the brightness of the volcanoes is dimmed by the blanket of the cloud. It cools the sea and protects it from the sun.
Without the cloud, there would be no rainbow. The cloud sails through this triumphal arch it created pulling weather with it as it flies.
